Meet your Hosts
Join hosts, Tessa, Harry, Grace & Charlotte as they trip down memory lane, exploring the cinematic masterpieces of their youth and debating which films deserve their place in the hallowed halls of the
Bi-Panic Room.
all are welcome here.

People. In The House. Possibly the most underrated film of all time, David Fincher's Panic Room, starring HRH Jodie Foster OBE, was the film that helped us to birth this very podcast.
An original BPE classic, the film kept each of your hosts' eyes glued to the screen for a multitude of reasons in their formative years, which we explore in our first episode.
When discussing which films gave us bi-panic when growing up, Panic Room was an instant 'yes' film across the board.
And so, when creating this podcast, we had to pay homage to the film that started it all. That, and the obvious play on words here was too much to resist. Thus, The Bi-Panic Room was born.

Okay hotshot, pop-quiz. You wanna know which films are dripping with BPE? (Bi-Panic Energy).
Good answer. You're in the right place.
It's not just about films with a hot, multi-gendered cast. Far from it.
We explore the cast, creatives, costume, story, visuals and more to uncover just exactly what it is that makes each film in our collection a bonafide bi-panic film.
Those that pass the test? Earn their place in the hallowed halls of The Bi-Panic Room. Like Room 101 but you want to be in it.
Here's the format of each episode:
The BiCon
Each episode starts with one film which your hosts - the personally appointed guardians of the Bi-Panic Room - collectively agree is a bi-panic film.
BPE of the Week
Our palette-cleanser, in this short section we each bring to the table our 'bi-panic energy' of the week, which can be absolutely anything, without explanation - not just film.
The Wildcard
Each episode rounds off with one of the hosts bringing to the table their wildcard, or "controversial pick", for consideration as a Bi-Panic film.
They must champion their choice to their fellow peers, who will then vote to decide if the film will make it through to the Bi-Panic Room. Majority rules.

In series one, we're focusing on the formative years of our millennial hosts, looking at late 90s and early 00s films that triggered the "Do I want to be them? Or do I want them?" anxiety when watching.
Whether you're a Gen Z or a baby boomer, an LGBTQ+ or even an S, all are welcome here. Who knows, you might experience a little BPE yourself.
-
Uh, yeah.
We'd love to know your bi-panic picks.
While we're focusing on 90s/00s films in our first season, we already have a list of earlier and later films - as well as tv shows - that definitely pass the BPE check, but would love to know yours.
You can also share what's giving you bi-panic energy this week by emailing us at hello@bipanicroom.com or tagging us on the 'gram @bipanicroom.
-
Sure. We've all been there darling.
Whether you're bisexual, lesbian, gay, queer, questioning, trans, refuse to be labelled, or yes, even straight - all are welcome here.
It's a safe space to discuss film through a queer lens, which can be consumed by whoever wants to listen to it.
Not your cup of tea? No hard feelings and all the best on your journey.
welcome to the bi-panic room.
It’s the bi agenda and we’re pushing it.
The Bi-Panic Room is a bi-monthly (naturally) film podcast, exploring the films and television series that trigger bisexual panic - aka “bi-panic”, when watching.
Each week we discuss one ‘hall of famer’ film that is dripping with BPE - bi-panic energy - and one wild-card film that must fight for its place as a cinematic bicon.
